Nepenthes diabolica x hamata (x Smilodon) Clone:AW-01 peristomes and those with peristomesAlso known as Nepenthes xSmilodon, N. diabolica x hamata is a cross two very closely related species and the resulting pitchers are very similar to N. hamata but with very red pitchers with dark red maroon teeth that turn very dark, almost black, under intense light. We've found this cross grows easier, much faster, and more vigorously than N. hamata and also no longer possesses the sensitivity of N. diabolica. Picture 1 & 2 is of a larger
