It's Not Fine West Starting at 33Its Not Fine This piece of music is my personal response to hearing about one of my former students being abused as a younger child. The student had told me of the abuse and how it affected them for years afterward, and it upset me very much. One night I sat down at my piano and tried to capture how I was feeling about the whole thing, resulting in the opening piano motif. I then wrote a short song as the basis for the rest of the piece.
