The copper plate engravings have some old folds and old toning but remain in tact and as wholes with no tears or losses so they prove to be in good condition

The rectangular shaped central hooked rag rug on a ruby red outer ground

Painted labels such as these were eventually phased out and replaced with labels under glass (LUG) later in the century so as to stop the abrasion of the labels themselves

and as such are wonderfully evocative

It may be a later plate than that of the frame
