Texture: similar to the lining of your winter boots or your fave Sherpa blanket, just compressed into a thinner layer. Washes well. Edges are serged and make for a thinner pad. Backing fabric is black Windpro fleece. Wash instructions: cold rinse, warm wash (low residue soap or soap nuts), warm dryer or hang. Light flow is indicated by purple stitching,
