66190 was returned to DB Cargo stock in the UK via the channel tunnel and headed to Toton depot in Nottinghamshire for a full overhaul and conversion back to UK specification

plans for a return to service were quashed and it was despatched to Sims Metals at Beeston in March 2005 for disposal

New to 86A Cardiff Canton in January 1965 and then to Swansea Landore in 1972

Like several members of the Class 37/9 sub class it was initially repainted in the unbranded version of the new Roundel-designed triple-grey Railfreight image

Its currently based at the Severn Valley Railway where it sees regular use
