Fukumidori is a local cultivar grown mainly in Saitama prefecture. It is highly praised for its refreshing aroma and taste (i. e., quite different from the wide spread Yabukita cultivar). This type of tea is known as ichoucha "withered tea" and the processing technique is borrowed from oolong
