“烧船图”系列第一卷，应2024年宁波假杂志开春书会而诞生，选取了古代明朝发生在宁波港口的一个外交案件。具有竞争关系的两个日本政治团体同时派船队来明朝参与朝贡商业，结果发生火并，一派追杀另一派的过程中，焚毁了对方的商船，并且造成宁波周边官民的大量伤亡，导致明朝政府后来对日本海洋交流变成极保守的策略。
