It is matured in both sherry and bourbon casks before being bottled at 40% ABV. The label, featuring a large brown trout, hints at its namesake, the River Almond, where the fish is commonly foundbut despite the name, no almonds are involved. On the nose, it offers scents of vanilla fudge,
