S. flag, the original Oklahoma flag featured a large centered white star outlined in blue on a red field. The number 46 stood for Oklahoma as the forty sixth state to join the Union. Simple but effective! The original flag design would last until 1925 when red flags were thought to be associated with communism(!). This
