Waziri Men's Wedding Shawl - Chador Spirit lock rondelle cut aquamarine beads withWaziri men's shawl or wedding shawl, know locally as a chador. From Northwest Frontier Pakistan, formerly called Waziristan. Hand loomed on a throw shuttle in two pieces which are then sewn together to make the body of the shawl. Dark indigo black cotton body is combined with red silk and a stripped patterned border as contrast. Selvage borders at both ends. Collected in NWF Pakistan by my father in the 1980's on one of his buying trips to the region.
