It is the lower shell of the machine body, carrying the wheels and sealing the underside of the motor compartment. Knocks, drops, and constant towing can crack the casing, wear the castors, or degrade the post motor seal, which leads to a wobbly ride and air leaking past the motor exhaust path. Fitting
