A very low air pressure level (0. 035MPa) is needed for the tonearm to work properly. This pressure is produced by a silent compressor. The way the arm is operated on the air cushion is quite simple. Thanks to the pressure from the compressor, the arm bearing is able to detach and levitate in the air along the guide. The pressure to the bearing is provided by a thin silicone hose.
