We cut them from a thin slab of clay and hand paint them with cobalt underglaze

They were marvelously carved with intricate designs and were often presented as betrothal gifts

It is fun to watch him in this skillfully casual mode, as often a lot of precision is required in his work. Temmoku glaze makes it a great accent piece. 6 tall.
