Measuring 4 1 4 long, 1 7 8 at its widest point, 1 thick (1 5 8 at base), this elegant little case would most likely have housed a fine scent bottle or small personal luxury implement. Its refined, tapered form and domed cap are entirely characteristic of 18th century French luxury
