The silver cartouche you see there in front and the surrounding ornamentation of inlaid mother of pearl and abalone shell and tiny silver pique work is a fine highlight to the superb cognac to chocolate of the shell

The brooch is excellent and complete apart from a loss of the pointed end of the hinged pin on backside (see images) which can be easily restored if one wants to wear the jewelry

This one is a 19th century carved Black Forest hunt theme plaque mounted into a wall hanging towel rack

The dour woman in her blue dress with white lace collar and bonnet, and lace bib front would be a fun miniature all on its own, but holding her shy cowering cute pup makes it one that's just impossible to pass up. Uncertain if the puppy is afraid of her or the artist is impossible to know, but
