Intricately carved and beautifully preserved (note: needlepoint has a few flaws to mend). Thick wood and very sturdy, the legs once had wheels (1 left on to show you) but I think it's best if the small hardware is removed. Can't think of a need for a footstool to have wheels, but it was in fashion in c. 1840 60 when this was created. I have not polished nor treated the wood so you could see any
