It was designed by Walter Schluep in the 1960s as a wearable work of art. Walter Schluep (1931 2016) trained in Switzerland as a jeweller and diamond setter, before moving to Canada in the 1950s aged 22, setting up his own workshop in Montreal. He was known for his avant garde design, creating pieces which were
