Checkered Past Wall Art and added one large pocketCheckered Past is a pillow I made from antique Japanese katazome fabric with an indigo dyed checkerboard pattern. I wanted to let that pattern hold the focus here. The antique fabric is backed with sturdy canvas, and a hidden zipper keeps the finish clean while allowing the insert to be removed easily. The pillow itself measures 23" 11", and I like the way the 24" 14" feather insert gives it its shape and presence.
