The piece is a prototype and the design never made it to the production phase, rendering it a rather important piece. The table features a highly polished stainless base, and it has a 1 2 inch piece of glass that is inset. We acquired this directly from Peter Schultz, the designers long time business partner (and son). Peter used this piece in his own home
