Fellow Citizens Rankin/Bass Holy smokesGluyas Williams' second cartoon collection. Published in 1940, this scarce book is in particularly nice condition. Cartoons from 1929 1940 published in The New Yorker and other magazines. One of my favorite cartoonists, Gluyas Williams was a master of crowd scenes as well as closely observed mannerisms. Over the years, he had a number of running series, unusual by being based on a theme rather than a character. Some of the series in this collection:
