A few plants of maximilian sunflowers are in full bloom as the early morning sunlight begins to illuminate the golden flowers at Wildflower Park in Northern Illinois

I must have stayed in creek photographing and admiring the beauty for about 10 minutes before leaving and climbing up the creeks bank

As I looked to the left to see what it was

took some shots of Bierstadt Lake and the mountains in the distance during this cool morning

PEACE OF MIND WILDFLOWER LAKE A few plants of maximilianAfter receiving 2 3 inches of snow during the morning hours, I set out to photograph this recent snowfall along Eakin Creek West on this Sunday afternoon. The temperature was in the mid 20's with a mild wind of 5 8 mph. It was mostly overcast with some sun breaks. The soft lighting during this time made for some nice images of the box elder trees and their reflections onto Eakin Creek West. (685 3443)
