This early example retains its Zenith Plastics Herman Miller decal under the seat. We can date this ankle breaker example to early 1950. The design was produced this way for but a few months before they realized that the design flat of the front weld pattern would hurt the users ankles with regular use. It is a favorite of collectors because of this unusual little anecdote. The
