I headed back down the road and went up Trail Ridge Road where at tree line I emerged from the clouds

I planned to wake up early to get out to Washington Park prior to sunrise and see how it had been transformed

This was the case this evening when I hiked up Green Mountain in Lakewood to get a shot of Denver and the rising full moon in November 2009

It was a balance of finding the right break in the clouds as well as an interesting scene to photograph and when a small clearing occurred captured this image

You may have visited the park when you were a child, recently or only have driven by and noticed the Cyclone and Wild Chimpunk rides from Interstate 70. This image was taken as the Cyclone heads past me into the Colorado sunset on a nice last summer evening.
