Visiting Lolo Pass on the Montana/Idaho border

I was driving home on a November afternoon and as I approached Sloans Lake noticed the sunset over my shoulder and how the rays were filtering through and lighting up the sky

As I was walking with a group of friends to Hidden Lake from Logan Pass

I found a spot along near the sculpture and worked to compose my image to bring in parts of the city and also show the motion of the water with a little longer exposure giving this image

It had been a couple of days since a few inches of snow had fallen amongst the trees leaving just a reminder of the snow on the mountains with a crisp blue sky.
