This is an approach I like to take to fully appreciate locations like this and make my connection to the location even greater than just taking pictures

Late in the month we did get some snow and I headed out to the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver to photograph

As we descended on an angle it allowed the roads around the ponds to also angle versus their natural north/south and east/west routings

I walked around the small campus and after photographing some of the buildings decided to get an image of the Main Hall

As I moved around the building I looked at the different compositions with not only the materials of the building but also how the light hit the building during the course of the day

Colorado Capitol at Inauguration Size:20"x30" This is an approach IThis image was taken when they were setting up the front of the Colorado State Capitol for the inauguration of John Hickenlooper. At the time he was mayor of Denver, and made the walk across Civic Center Park for the inauguration which was the day after this image was taken.
