Lake McDonald is pictured in this image from the shoreline just prior to sunset on a pleasant day to explore Glacier

Not too long after I took this image

From a distance back I set-up my tripod and worked to capture the cars along the road just after sunset while letting the bright moon illuminate the mountain itself

Where I was standing in this picture is no longer possible since a building is being constructed right there

With this in mind I headed to Washington Park in Denver to photograph a tree which I have been photographed for the past few years

My plan was to find a good location with a view of the mountains and then see what the approach pattern was for the evening. The area which I selected did not disappoint nor did the flow of traffic from multiple airlines at that time of night allowing for fine tuning of the process prior to the light disappearing, the flow of traffic slowing and the temperatures beginning
