ダストボウルいうんは、20世紀のはじめ頃に、もともと草原やった土地を農地に変えたことで、急に乾燥が進んでしもて、土が大きな砂嵐になって舞い上がるようになった時代のことやねん。それで農家の人らが、アメリカ西部のほかの地域に移動せなあかんようになったんや。歴史って繰り返す言うやろ？うちらも“繰り返しのパターン”ってめっちゃ好きでな。フランスの「トワル・ド・ジュイ」にインスピレーションもろて、ダストボウルのイメージ使って、ファッションとして楽しめるバンダナを作ってみてん。今回のデザインは、One Ear Brandとして初めて、枠とかフレームなしで全面に広がるリピートパターンにしてるんよ。結んでもええし、そのまま広げて飾ってもええし、古いシャツにパッチとして使ってもええ感じになるように、あえてシンプルに仕上げてるねん。それと、ブルー×ホワイトのバンダナも久しぶりやから、この色味とデザイン、気に入ってもらえたらうれしいわ。
