The tiny acorn was hand carved out of wax and cast using the ancient lost was casting technique

The detail on these is wonderful and I adore the fact that the original poppy seed heads came from my garden in Norfolk

I made them by rolling the vascular system of an ivy leaf into metal, then I hand sawed them, oxidised to pick out the detail and polished them. The ivy was taken from my favourite ivy plant near my home in Norwich, UK
