From the Claxton's Exploration Series 11, this 9 year old Caol Ila is taken from a fresh PX Sherry Barrique. Nose: Toasted malt, sweet peat and stewed fruits. Burnt ends. Palate: Again quite meaty with lots of toasted malt and stewed fruit flavours. Finish: Spicy finish with sweet peat and bonfire notes in the aftertaste. Caol Ila Distillery 9
