The village sits on the Scoresbysund which during the winter months freezes over with sea ice

however on this morning the clouds added to the scene providing some interesting color as a backdrop to the expanding Denver skyline

With the fires in the area that summer I didn't know what to expect in terms of sunset but thought I would chance it at this time knowing the water levels would be lower allowing for the s-curve flow to show at the location

Union Station During the Holidays Size:18"x24" Lake McDonald is pictured inAs the renovations were taking place, I headed to Union Station right around Christmas to photograph the light on the Wynkoop side of the building, just after a snow system had moved through the city. While the facade of the building has not changed much over those years the plaza and areas right next to this have changed as the project on the building comes nearer to completion.
