Preparing for this at the western edge of the park I position myself close to where I felt the sun would be over the city when creating this image

the challenge was to find a location where the tripod would be steady and not impacted with the incoming waves

The former Merchandise Mart in lower downtown Denver has been converted to the Rocky Mountain Warehouse Lofts

however usually by Memorial Day Weekend it is open again connecting Estes Park with Grand Lake

However after some rain, the stream picked up speed a little bit and allowed me to capture this during my last visit to the park. As I stood on the side of the road a few people stopped to see what I was photographing, and were upset there was not an animal in the scene.
