This is very “Chambollesque” in style and should drink well young as well as reward 8 to 10 years of cellaring

A real standout wine

As is almost always the case this is aromatically less elegant but spicier and a bit more complex as well with its reserved array of liqueur-like dark berries

Domaine Ponsot, Morey Saint Denis Alouettes Size:6x750ml crushed flowers(from Monts Luisants; an alouette is a lark). A slightly riper and more complex nose presents notes of red currant, floral, spice and notably earthy aromas. The energetic, punchy and welldelineated flavors culminate in a lightly mineral inflected, delicious and well balanced finale. This moderately firm effort should be drinkable after only 6 to 8 years if desired. (89 92) 2024+
