A refined composition where the sky dominates the painting, pushing the horizon line to the very bottom of the frame. Painted in a cool, lightly rosy palette, the sky asserts itself as a subject in its own right. The clouds are treated in soft glaze, with diffuse contours, creating the impression of suspended air. Certain brighter strokes attract
