Originally issued with frontispiece and four tipped in color plates by Adelaide Hanscom, all of the original plates have been removed and plates of Persian artwork added in their place. Further, an additional plate has been added in the rear of the book: a drawing in pen & watercolors of a woman in Persian garb, with elaborate jewelry, headpiece, and flowing
