La Piste landscape painting and the artist left some19th century French oil painting of a dog mid chase. Signed in the lower left hand corner, but illegible. A painting that displays the artist's talent for light and a realistic rendering, capturing a moment in time that is both familiar and unexpected. In this instance, the body of the working dog is all muscle, as they chase a scent under the brush. The painting is in excellent condition for its age. The frame has a few small impacts from time.
