2009 Château Palmer, Margaux, Bordeaux Colli della Toscana Centrale with lovely softDeep, sweet, concentrated and rich with a length and breadth that is totally mesmerising, I kept coming back to the bottle for another snifter as I couldn't put into words how exciting it was. What a majestic beast! I'm not going to say its better or less good that the perfect 2005 Palmer; it appeals to different parts of me. The 2009 is a tad more expansive and seductive with just a smidgen of decadent puppy fat: truly great. Berry Bros. & Rudd
