It consists of a heavy lead plate with erected brass needles where the stipes are fixed

Made from hinoki (cypress) wood, with copper hardware. This piece features a dated base, showing Meiji period, 1900. This compact box features an array of drawers, as well as a lidded compartment on top, separated by smaller sections beneath it. The underside of the box's lid shows its life as a calligraphy box, with ink stains covering it.
