chalky tannins are very well placed

It opens with notes of red cherries cinnamon spice porcini mushrooms cherry pit and dark stones with ripe tannins and a mossy earth undertone

The tannins are pretty fierce at this stage

chewy and layered

2023 | Etienne Sauzet Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay | Burgundy Half Bottle Extremely perfumed and bright withClear in color already. A lovely elegant nose, quite classy for appellation. Round, almondy fruit with a little bit more oak then usual for Bourgogne Blanc since it was 100% barrel fermented due to the small crop rather than the normal 50%. This has good balance, with lemon lime, cream and some anise on the finish.
