It was an evening when aircraft were taking off to the north which allowed me to get a little closer then when I did a similar image in 2008 south of the airport

Instead of bringing in the surrounding park

I have done this at the southern end of the park before but this was my first time finding it on the north end of Civic Center Park

As I stood along the beach the rain was coming and going which also brought the cloud deck low at times

Sunset from Sloans Lake Reflection It was an evening whenI was driving home on a November afternoon and as I approached Sloans Lake noticed the sunset over my shoulder and how the rays were filtering through and lighting up the sky. It was the area I was thinking of photographing on this day and I quickly made my way to a point on the east side of the lake facing the mountains. With the sunset standing out people who were walking around the lake stopped to take it in as well getting a special treat on this
