Grant Park Modern View National Park Using a long lens I

Using a long lens I isolated a subset of pilings and worked to catch the reflection in Gastineau Channel

As I headed up the hill to the capitol building at the base of the steps I noticed this view of the building which under the light was quite dramatic

You most likely have seen the cross in the foothills to the west of Denver which was first illuminated in 1964

As the sky turned to dusk I looked for images of the building as it lit up for the evening

I started photographing the flowers as I headed further up the trail

Grant Park Modern View National Park Using a long lens IGrowing up in the Chicago area it is always interesting to revisit the city to see how it has changed over the years. As I remember visiting Grant Park in my youth and also in my college years as my parents lived downtown, I can easily see the old blending in with the new around the city. This building is the Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower just north of the park. What is interesting for this building is that it was completed and then a few years later
