While visiting San Diego a few years ago

After a day of snowshoeing up the road I was heading back and stopped at the west end of Lake McDonald just after sunset

but not before saying Welcome to Glacier National Park

even if it has been snowing in the mountains for quite a while

the flow of traffic slowing and the temperatures beginning to drop

Bridge to Glacier National Park Size:16"x20" While visiting San Diego aSetting up at dusk one evening in September I waited for traffic to pass by my spot on the side of the bridge. The bridge is located at the west side of Glacier National Park as you cross the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Being so late in the evening, there were few cars and those were leaving the National Park after spending the day enjoying the many offerings you can find at Glacier.
