Yes it does rain in Juneau

There are still some reminders of the construction in the area

From a distance I spotted a tree which looked interesting in its location and when I got there found the fresh snow surrounding the area which I photographed and created this image

A few weeks earlier I captured the fall colors around the Governor's Mansion and thought it would be a good comparison to photograph around there during this late snowfall once again working the lines into the image

however I woke up early and headed to Rocky Mountain National Park and the Bear Lake area

Curved Line in the Sand Size:11"x14" Yes it does rain inWhen you first get to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve you can focus on the large dunes which sit in front of the Sangre de Christo Mountains. However there are also the small details which you can find as well as in this image. A line in the sand winds it way into the dunes as the afternoon sun casts a shadow.
