To start off 2012

At this time I was heading along a two lane highway and Plaster City was right ahead

However at times you can also find a lone car as in this image

I headed towards Union Station to photograph the accumulating wet snow

just before the game I noticed the sun starting to drop behind the stands on the 3rd base side of the stadium

Wind Across the Sand Size:24"x36" To start off 2012As the day moves to afternoon at the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve the wind picks up. With the wind starting to blow those lines which were led to the distance start to be obscured with the blowing sand from the gusty wind. These winds are quite common at the sand dunes based on the location of the park in the Alamosa valley and is also how they initially formed.
