"Thunder Road" Automotive Series The background wall I had

The background wall I had saved for several years because of the unusual colors and sign subjects and thought the Silver car would be perfect for the signage

area seemed to be an appropriate location to pose these great Corvettes

I did embellish the image by adding a fictional 1972 Corvette sales poster in the window

I saw this  very popular model in my last tour of the Corvette Assembly Plant

a Fathom Blue convertible and a Cranberry Red coupe

"Thunder Road" Automotive Series The background wall I hadThunder Road is a departure from my usual composition, but my photograph of a ZR 1 in Colorado convinced me to create a major work with a focus on certain details rather than a complete car. The lighting and reflections were too perfect to pass up. The title recalls the 1950s movie as well as a Bruce Springsteen tune, implying that no Corvette creates Thunder like a ZR 1.
