Southern Official's Chair, Warm Elm Dining Chair This little three legged stoolThis style of chair appeared slightly later in China's history than the 'Yoke Back' or 'Official's Hat' chair. The main development was that the top rail and arms of the chair join onto the supporting posts rather than protruding further out. This gives a smoother, more fluid look. Our warm elm version has a rattan covered seat and curved backrest for comfort. The backrest has a scrolling dragon motif in carved relief, while the spandrels at the
