They have the same heavy weight and feel as our rope mecate reins and leads, but are a bit easier to manage if you don't like the lead end of the mecate. Most rope reins on the market are 8 ft, but clinicians have found that a 10 ft rein gives your horse more slack and a better release of pressure, resulting in a softer horse.
