the light from the airport illuminates the bottoms to provide contrast

I arrived to the location just prior to dusk I look at some vantage points and then started photographing as it got dark

but also at that time it is fun to try new techniques to capture the season as well

By using a small depth of field (f/22) and placing the sun right at the end of the sculpture it provides the star effect in the image and also helps eliminate some of the sun glare

With the age of the wooden storage structure I got close to capture the details of the wood and metal rings which were starting to rust

Museum of Liverpool Exterior Size:11"x14" the light from the airportAs I approached the Museum of Liverpool with overcast skies I was immediately taken in with the exterior of the building and how well it worked along the River Mersey. I first went into the building to learn more about Liverpool itself prior to photographing the building with the many angles it provided. For this image I zoomed into the building and let the lines take control of the image with the repeating lines and patterns throughout the image.
