I looked up and saw this scene

and last night some more started to fall

With the fires in the area that summer I didn't know what to expect in terms of sunset but thought I would chance it at this time knowing the water levels would be lower allowing for the s-curve flow to show at the location

Heading back from Steamboat Springs a few years ago I made a stop on the way back along the road leading to the Flat Top Wilderness area

On this day it was a little less crowded which allowed me to get closer and spend more time at the sculpture. As I started to looking back towards the city I noticed how Hallgrmskirkja was visible up the hill. Once I noticed this I spent time photographing the two of them together which with the rain allowed me to focus on the rain
