fleshy and concentrated flavors somehow manage to retain good delineation

Only the return of warmer weather at the start of September imbued the vintage with a freshness of great Chardonnay in tune with the subtly restrained power of Pinot Noir and a soupçon of rounded Meunier – that final little touch making the wine more pleasurable to drink soon

The wine obviously flaunts its cool-climate origins and offers an interesting interpretation of the grape in which freshness is front and center

Otherwise there is a bit more refinement to the attractively textured and more mineral-inflected medium weight flavors that offer reasonably good length on the youthfully austere finish
