On May 31, 1959, at the Santa Barbara Road Races, a Porsche 356 A Carrera #77 driven by privateer Ron ODell pushed through a competitive E Production field to finish 2nd in classsharing tarmac with the likes of Ken Miles and Richie Ginther.
